Using and note
1. The K16-artnet LED controller allows for both online and offline work. It supports both ARTNET and MADRIX software.
2. How do I choose and adjust chip types? You When you choose the chip type, the LED controller must be offline. If you online work, you can not choose chip type.
3. When it is online work, you need to use LEDMAGIC software to make programs. You do not need to choose the concrete chip type. When it is offline work, you need to use LEDEdit 2014 to make programs and choose the controller model T-8000-1903 series. You do not need to choose the chip type.
4. When there are many controller synchronizations, each controller can support a different chip type. As for K-16000S, it has 16 ports, so you need to make two K-8000 programs and modify the two program file names to 00-0.led and 01-0.led. The programs are then copied to the SD card. Modify the program name to 00.led and 01.led, then copy the programs to the SD card.
5. When working offline, press the SET button to select chip type. Support chip types: UCS19XX, UCS29XX, TM18XX, WSD281X, SM1670X, GS8205, GS8206, 6812, 9823, 9883, TM1914, WS2822, etc. If you want to add other support chips, please contact us.
6. The button sets the desired playing speed and chip; you need to wait about 8 seconds to save the setting. Next time you open it, you do not need to reset it.
7. Many controller synchronizations can be achieved through a net cable connection. The net cable should be connected from the NET OUT of the first controller to the NET IN of the second controller.
Setting about connecting a computer through the ARTNET protocol.
1. This controller implements the ARTNET protocol. It can be widely applied to lighting effect software and other control devices that support the Artnet protocol, such as Madrix software.
2. When connecting to the computer, you need to set the LED controller. You just need to set up the first controller that connects the computer. The other controller does not need to be set.
3. As for ARTNET and MADRIX, three points need to be set below. The first thing is to set pixels for each port. To make a choice, press the buttons. There are four options. They are 170 pixels, 340 pixels, 510 pixels, and 680 pixels. The second is the internet IP address. Just need to set the last one of the IP. The default setting is 190–200, etc. The third is to set the occupy line quantity of the whole ARTNET IP. Max. 256 lines; each line corresponds to 512 pixel DMX512; 512/3 = 170.6. The maximum pixels are 43,520 (170*256). In other words, it occupies four lines of art. One K-16000S controller has 64 artifact lines (4 * 16 ports). In this way, the max 4 pcs K-16000S controller synchronization and the max pixels are 43,520. If you want to control more than 43,520 pixels, you need to add a network card to your computer.
4. The computer is powered off. Press the SET button and enter settings mode. The LED display will show setting the first point of 4 HXXX options: H170, H340, H510, and H680. The four options determine how many pixels per line the K-16000S controller has. To choose, press the SPEED+ and SPEED- buttons. Next, press MODE to set the second point. The LED display will show FXXX, which is used to set this LED controller and other synchronic controllers will occupy the lines of the ARTNET IP. There are F016, F032, F064, F128, and F256 options. F016 means that all controllers only have 16 ARTNET lines. Each line is 512 pixels or 16*170 pixels. F256 means to occupy the whole artifact. The user can set it based on the light's pixels. Then press the MODE button. The LED display will show CXXX; XXX represents three numbers; the three numbers are the master controller's last IP. Generally, it is set to 190–200. To avoid conflict, the first three IP addresses do not need to be set. The controller will make adjustments to be consistent with the first three addresses. For example, set it to be C195; connecting to the computer's IP is 192.168.1.100; then this master controller's IP address is set to be 192.168.1.195. After the three-point setting, press the SET button, and it will enter normal online mode. The LED display will show L001, which indicates that this master controller is the first controller connected to the computer. At last, finish the setting.
